Recent data from the National Climatic Data Center (NCDC) reveals that 2006 has been
recorded as the warmest year on record and indications show that this trend will

According to the NCDC report, five of the first seven months of 2006 were drier than
average and when these conditions combined with unusually warm temperatures, drought

concerns over the potential for increased occurrences of drought and storms.
